About The Course

This online First Aid at Work training module equips staff with essential knowledge, legal understanding, and practical guidance to manage first aid incidents effectively in the workplace. Covering key topics like legal duties, needs assessment, incident management, and treatment for common emergencies (e.g. bleeding, choking, cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis), it ensures compliance with UK regulations and builds confidence in responding to a range of injuries and medical conditions. The course includes a final assessment and provides certification upon successful completion.

Learning Objectives

State the legal duties of employers and employees under the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981.

Identify how to conduct a first aid needs assessment and determine appropriate provision based on workplace risk.

Describe the roles and responsibilities of first-aiders and appointed persons.

Recognise signs of common first aid incidents (e.g., bleeding, burns, choking, seizures, anaphylaxis, cardiac arrest) and apply correct first aid actions.
