Learning Objectives

Perform High-Quality CPR: Demonstrate adult, child, and infant cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques in line with Resuscitation Council UK guidelines.
Use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED): Understand the function of an AED and correctly apply it in cardiac emergencies.
Manage Airway Obstructions: Recognize and respond effectively to choking incidents in adults and children.
Assess and Manage Emergency Situations: Conduct primary assessments using the DR ABC method and initiate appropriate interventions.
Understand Legal and Ethical Considerations: Acknowledge duty of care, Good Samaritan laws, and documentation requirements in life-saving scenarios.
Apply Recovery Position Techniques: Safely position an unconscious but breathing individual to maintain airway patency.
